Mokupuni

Hawaiian for ‘Island’
Professional Project for Moku

Based in Wailea, Hawaii, Moku is a jewelry company that sells unique and artistic wood jewelry and accessories.

My role as an Industrial Design Intern:
1. Refine a design concept for a retail kiosk.
2. Provide assembly instructions to the manufacturer.

Orthographic drawings were already made with two other designers from Moku.

I moved from the orthographic drawings to sketches, fixing details such as the proportion and uniform thicknesses.

CAD Model

I created the entire model in Solidworks, given the basic dimensions and proportions, and rendered it in Keyshot.

I followed the orthos as a guideline but made changes with the construction of the lightbox and shelving on the inside.
